Shuttle America - Mgr. Maintenance Control

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Issue control numbers for all reported discrepancies.
  • Authorize MEL/CDL deferrals in accordance with the procedures outlined in the GMM.
  • Maintain current deferred discrepancy information to ensure timely repair of these discrepancies.
  • Notify Dispatch of all MEL/CDL items that may impact flight operations.
  • Notify appropriate maintenance management of any incident or accident involving company equipment or personnel.
  • Provide technical guidance to line, on-call and/or contract maintenance personnel as required.
  • Coordinate with the Director of Maintenance to ensure that appropriate parts, equipment and personnel are routed to the out-of-service aircraft as required.
  • Report the status of out-of-service and spare aircraft, Ferry Flights, mechanical delays and cancellations. This information is made available to all concerned departments to aid in making operational decisions.
  • Ensures Ferry Flights and Test Flights are conducted in accordance with the procedures outlined in the GMM.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Must possess a current Airframe and Powerplant license.
  • Minimum of multiple years line maintenance experience.
  • One year experience as a Supervisor/Manager is preferred.
  • Experience in PART 121 operations preferred.
  • Knowledge of FAR’s and company policy’s and procedures.
  • Organizational skills with an emphasis on attention to detail.
